Easter is a Christian holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ 3 days after his crucifixion (which is now called Good Friday). Christians believe that Jesus died for our sins so that good Christians can go to heaven when they die. There are many Easter traditions such as The Easter Bunny filling an Easter basket with candy and treats. The Easter Bunny gives each child one of these baskets. The Easter Bunny also hides colorful eggs all over the yard so you can go find them. Another old tradition is to buy new fancy Easter clothes to wear to church on Easter day. Although all of these traditions are fun, they don't have much to actually do with the religious holiday called Easter.

If you want to make these adorable pop-up Easter cards then print them in black and white (to color in) or print them in color. You will have to cut out the different parts and paste them together.
In the above diagrams you can see how to make this pop-up Ducks card. Fold a piece of paper in half and then draw a letter 'J' in the lower half of the page (on the seam). Then draw the dotted line going up and towards the left....as seen in fig. 1. The Cut along the letter 'J'...and fold up on the dotted line, as seen in figure 2. Then fold it back to the place where it was in the down position. Next, Put your paper on the table as if it were a tent....then push down the paper cut-out towards the other side of the paper...as seen in figure 3. Next, open up the card from the other side. Now you will see the duck's bill. Now you should draw and color a duck....by drawing a sideways number '8' for the eyes. A circle around the eyes for the head. Draw a smaller circle for the body and then a sideways letter 'v' for the tail. Draw a letter 'c' for the wing. Draw a letter 'u' for the nexta nd ovals for eggs. Happy Easter!
To make this cute birds nest that pops out at you, you will need to look at the diagrams above. Firstly, fold a piece of paper in half. Draw a nest shape as seen in figure 1 by drawing a curved dotted line up towards the right...then draw bumpy lines at the top of the nest. Cut the bumpy lines and fold on the dotted line as seen in figure 2. Then fold it back in place flat. Then place the card on the table like a tent and push in the cut-out paper. Now open up the card from the other side. Now it looks like a nest...as you see in figure 4. Now what you should do is use watercolors, crayons, or colored pencils to draw and color in eggs in the background...also paint the nest and background. Now, cut out eggs and color them a pastel color. Glue them to the inside of the popped-out nest. Now you have a beautiful pop-up Easter Eggs Nest Card to give to somebody you care about.
