Worms are long, soft, slender and legless creatures. Since children are so fascinated with worms, they makes great educational crafts for them such as bookworms and worms with numbers and letters. You can easily make a worm bookmark from craft foam or even a ribbon or construction paper.
You can also make worms crafts from inexpensive materials such as recycled egg cartons, pipe cleaners, and pom poms.
This is a very easy craft to make. If you read a lot, then you will want to make this book worm bookmark. Get a paper enveloper and cut off the corner. FInd a green piece of construction paper or craft foam and cut out a worm shape. Make 2 eyes and a mouth on the face. You can do this with a black marker or paint paint. You can use googly eyes too but they tend to fall off. These are so easy to make that you can make a slew of them in a short while. Have fun.
This is a very cute idea for a clip or fridge magnet clip. Just get some green pom poms, some pipe cleaners, Googly Eyes, and a clothespin. If you have a green pom pom that is bigger than the others, this is perfect for the head. Otherwise, it is fine to have all of the pom poms the same size. Glue them all to the clothespin...as pictured above. Glue googly eys to teh face. And cut pipe cleaners really short then glue them to the top of the worm's head for antennea. If you want this to be a fridge magnet, glue a magnet or two to the underside of the clothespin.
These turn out adorable and are very easy to make. Get green paper and cut out long rectangular strips. Then fold them accordion style - meaning fold forwards, then backwards, then forwards, then backwards, etc until it is sort of like an accordion in a bouncy, cute way. Then punch a hole thru the center of the paper as pictured above...using a hole puncher. Then put a green pipe cleaner through the hole and close on both ends by bending the pipecleaner up or down like a letter 'L'. When you have done this, then glue a green pom pom on the paper and then glue googly eyes on there for eyes.Use pipe cleaners for antenna.
Worms are known to come out of apples, although I am an apple lover and I have never seen it happen. I am very glad about that or I wouldn't eat apples any more. :) To make this craft, paint or color in a paper plate, or other type of disposable plate. Cut a hole in the plate (or cut out a black circle and paste it there to appear like a hole is there). Then get creen construction paper and make a cut little worm by drawing a sideways letter 's' shape for the worm. Just put a dot for each eye and a curved line for a smile. Just cut 2 ovals for the leaves shape. Paste the 2 green leaves behind the plate to make them appear that they are coming out of the plate (or the apple). If you made a hole, bend the worm inside the hold to glue it on the back side of the plate...this will give the appearance the the worm is coming from inside the apple. If you cut a black circle for the hole, just cut part of the worm off to make it appear the rest of the worm is inside the apple. This is a great craft for preschoolers, toddlers, and younger kids.
