This is a great arts and crafts project for kids of all ethnicities on Saint Patrick's Day. This is a project that uses simple items from around the house and brings them together as a wonderful, yet silly, leprechaun. STEP 1... Just cut strips of paper and use it as stuffing. STEP 2... Take a paper bag and twist the bottom of it into 2 legs (or leave them untwisted for a leprechaun that looks like a weeble wobble who stands on his own). Fill this paper bag with the paper-strips stuffing.STEP 3 ... Fill another paper bag with a little bit less stuffing and then twist the top of it. Turn it over and it is a head. Draw eyes, nose, and a mouth on the Leprechaun's face. STEP 4... Now push the head into the opening of the body. Then twist the body's paper bag opening shut over the twisted part of the head's paper bag. Now it should look like the picture that is slightly to the right of step #4. STEP 5... Now find a large plastic cup and cover it with green wrapping paper or construction paper, leaving a bunch extra to make the rim of the hat, as seen in the picture. Cut a long strip of black paper, felt or ribbon and wrap it around the base of the cup...letting the rim of the extra paper come out from underneath it, as you see in the picture. Cut out a yellow or gold square with the center cut out. Glue that on top of the black strip so it looks like a blet is going thru it. STEP 6... Now place the hat on top of the paper bag head. You can paint or color in the clothes green on the bag Leprechaun. You can cut out paper bag circles for hands if you want. To make the beard you can cut out red or orange strips of paper. Wrap the strips around a pencil to curl it and then glue on the face. You now have an adorable Leprechaun made from a paper bag. Here are Even More Saint Patrick's Day Crafts Ideas
