Making crafts from recycled juice cans are rather easy but all crafts with cans will need adult supervision. The most popular juice can crafts I've ever came across are pencil/pen holders. All your child will have to do is decorate it using whatever materials they want. Children can also make character holders such as an elephant, cat, pumpkin or bat to name a few.
Another very useful craft you can make from these cans are luminaries. You will need to poke some holes in the juice can and then put a small tea candle inside. I recommend poking a design in the can, for example, a cat or bat for Halloween or a candy cane for Christmas.
Click on the bank that you want to make above. Find out how to make these juice can animal pig banks...including a dog, cat, and pig...and there will be more coming soon. Just wash the can out...have your parents cut a hole in the top for the coins. Then color the can in a color matching the head and tail end of the animal. Next print out the templates that go with the crafts, attach the paper to cardboard and cut it out and glue to front and back of can.
Juice Can Stools - Use either empty juice cans or coffee cans to make these useful foot stools.
A Crocheted Pencil Can: A Great Project For Beginners! - With some of this wool on hand and the desire to make my son a birthday gift, I whipped up this pencil holder and can't wait to make some more! I kept the stitch and design simple so that this could serve as a beginner's project for someone wanting to learn to crochet. Make it from a simple juice can.
Angel Pencil Or Coin Holder Craft for Kids - This angel craft is a great change holder if you're saving for a charity (it makes it that much more fun when an angel is guarding the gift). You can also use it as a pencil holder... Make it from juice cans or other types
Can Basket Craft to Make from Juice Cans - These are made from concentrated juice cans or round oatmeal containers cut in half and then decorated with wrapping paper or fabric. You will also need a sharp knife (adults only), paintbrush, pencil, ribbon, a cloth tape measure and scissors. These can be filled with easter grass and plastic eggs filled with candy or cloth flowers.
Juice Lid Christmas Ornaments Reuse Old Greeting Cards- - Recycle juice can lids and old Christmas cards into three dimensional Christmas tree ornaments. Great for trimming the tree or for kids to make and give as Gift s - and good for our environment too!
Recycled CD Snowman Making Project - Recycle a CD and a juice can lid ornament in this Christmas craft to make a snowman ornament.
Recycled Tin Can Candleholders - At night, the patterns in a punched tin candleholder spring to life -- the perforations will send beautiful light over any nearby surface.
Recycled Tin Can Flower Pots - As any gardener knows, a container garden can get expensive in a hurry. Turning old tin cans into flowerpots can help you alleviate that expense. You can use small cans to start seedlings. Large cans can be lasting planters.
Red and White Canada Day Fridge Magnets - You can make these by using red, white or silver glitter, the tops of juice can lids, washed clean, glue, magnets, and a piece of paper.
Simple Emergency Lantern (PARENTAL SUPERVISION)- - This is a simple candle powered lantern made from a candle stick and a V-8 juice can. It is meant for power outages when flashlight batteries are dead (this happens to me more than i like to admit) or you want to conserve those batteries. I used this in a power outage and while not terribly bright it provided plenty of light to see by. This was also done during the time i didn't have a digital camera handy, so once again it's a bit skimpy on the pics. I will not have this problem anymore now that i have a new camera.
Tin Can Halloween Luminaries - It's easy to make tin can luminaries to light your walkway or front steps on Halloween. Add a coat hanger wire and you can hang them up, if you like. Just recycle those old tin cans and make a variety of Halloween designs.
Tin Can Storage - Practical and pretty, and costs next to nothing to make!
