You can never have enough spooky Halloween decorations. Spiders, bats, ghosts, witches, Frankensteins, skulls and jack o' lanterns seem to the top choices for decorations.
You can make a huge spider from two black paper plates, black construction paper and a piece of white paper. To make this you need to first the black construction paper and cut eight narrow strips for the legs. Then cut out a rounded rectangle for the head.Next, take the paper plates and lay them top to top and place the eight legs in between them. Use a staple to staple the plates together along the edges. Cut out the eyes and sharp teeth from the white paper and glue it to the face.
You can also make a Frankenstein puppet from a brown paper bag and different color construction papers for the facial features..
You can use items around the house to paint this cool, spooky, piece of art. Mix flour & water into a paste mixture and then add some tempera paint or food coloring to make an interesting color. You have created a cool new medium to paint with. Use your fingers to lay this "paint" on any bright or deep-colored construction paper. For fine lines, use a stick, cardboard strip, or drinking straw. Experiment with combining paste and other powdered materials to get novel textured effects. This technique is perfect for Halloween pictures as you can use a black backgroun for the dark, spooky night. The white shows up perfect on the black background. Try it out and have a spooky time.
