You do not need a pumpkin to make pumpkin or Jack o' Lantern crafts. With a little imagination you can turn anything into a pumpkin or Jack o' Lantern. Your children can make mini pumpkins from cardboard egg cartons with orange or black craft paint.
A pumpkin centerpiece can be made by using an aluminium dryer vent tube (about 27 inches long), orange spray paint, brown spray paint, glue gun (adults only), leaves, a small tree limb. Glue the end of the vent tube together and spray it orange. Paint the small tree limb brown and finally after everything has dried, use the hot glue gun to glue the leaves and tree limb in place to make the pumpkin stem.
