Tissue paper comes is a variety of colors and is mostly used for gift bags or gift wrapping. Tissue paper is a very lightweight paper which is made from recycled paper pulp. It is often confused with crepe paper.
Tissue paper makes a wonderful material for children's crafts. It is safe, inexpensive and there is so much that can be made from it. For example, flowers, piñatas, ghosts, sail boats, and window decorations.
This could get a bit messy, so place newspaper down on the table before you start. Place some thin-ish brown paint on a piece of paper nad use a normal straw to blow air at the paint. This will push the paint in unusualy, cool different ways and directions. Many times the paint goes in different directions the way tree branches do, so that is why this is a great way for a child to create a beautiful flower tree. After the painting is done...allow time for the paint to dry....usually 30-45 minutes. Then cut out red tissue paper squares. Just crush the tissue paper into a ball and then glue it on to the tree. Give this as a gift to somebody you love.
This craft is fun and these flowers turn out amazing. Cut strips of tissue paper out...any size will work, but 2.5" x 8" is the normal flower size. You can make gigantic tissue paper flowers with larger paper...if you want to. Just make pleats in the tissue paper by folding it back and forth until the paper is all folded. Then fold chenille stems around the accordion folded tissue paper. Now pull poen the folded flower. It now looks like a flower. For an etra touch loop a pipe cleaner around the stem in loops.
Follow the instructions illustrated above to make these twiggy stick flowers. Just find a container and wrap construction paper around it and then use tissue paper to cut squares to crumble into flower balls. Cut out green leaf shapes and then glue them both to sticks and twigs. Next place them into the yogrut container pot and if you want...add brown clay or play dough for soil at the bottom of the flower pot.
