CRAFTS MATERIALS NEEDED:
CRAFT PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS:
(1) Gather all of the materials that you need to make this pot of gold craft. You will need to find a Styrofoam Bowl, Pipe Cleaners / AKA Chenille Stems, Black Paint, Gold Coins, Scissors, and a Paint Brush. Your parents will probably appreciate it if you first put down newspaper or craft paper to protect the table or counter.
(2) Put the styrofoam bowl down on the newspaper. Get your black paint and a paintbrush. To make the paint stick to the bowl better, you can put a tiny bit of glue into the paint. This is optional. Now cover the entire bowl with paint and let it dry.
(3) While the paint is drying, get your pipe cleaners out and twist them together. The number of pipecleaners depends on how thick and long that you want the pot's handle to be. If you have enough black pipe cleaners, the handle looks really sharp in black.
(4) Now cut a tiny hole on either side of the styrofoam bowl. Place either end of the pipe cleaners in to one of the holes. Bunch up the part of the pipe cleaner that is inside the bowl into a tiny ball, just big enough that it won't pull through the hole. Now put the other end of the pipe cleaner into the other hole and bunch the end inside of the bowl into a ball so that it won't pull through the hole. Now you have a handle.
(4) Now fill the bowl with gold chocolate candy coins. Give it to a friend or loved one for Saint Patrick's Day.
