Sometimes finding the perfect hair barrette to match your outfit can be very hard to find, especially when looking for something specific. So a lot of women and girls have turn to making their own at home. There are so much options out there, for children you can make a hair barrette from balloons or beads.
You can make a simple feather barrette from a metal hair barrette, feathers, felt, buttons (optional) and a hot glue gun (ask an adult to help). It's quite simple, just cut out a piece of the felt and hot glue it to the top of the barrette. Then add the feathers (and buttons if you like) with the hot glue. Below you will find many ideas for making customized barrettes.
If you want your very own special personalized barrettes, then here are the instructions to do this. Firstly, paint dry alphabet noodles in the colors that you want to. Make sure that they are completely covered. If you don't have alphabet noodles, you can cut out foam, paper, or cardboard in the colors that you want. Now glue the letters to the barettes. Do the same with flowers, hearts, stars, or other designs. Now brush clear nail polish completely over everything. Re-apply after it dries...and again after that. Now yoru barrettes are completely done...now do some more. :)
