Chipmunks are cute, little animals that are a type of rodent found in North America (although one type is found in Asia). Chipmunks eat a lot of seeds, fruit, grass, and nuts.
To educate your children about this adorable furry animal you can make chipmunk crafts with them. You can make a chipmunk mask out of a paper plate or a home-made chipmunk hand puppet from a brown lunch paper bag or an old brown sock-like glove.
To make this chipmunk mask, just print out the following chipmunk mask template and follow the directions included.
Here is an easy-to-make craft for making a cute little chipmunk. Start off with an empty thread spool. If it isn't already tan...you can paint it tan or brown. Let dry completely. Then paint on hands and feet or use a permanent marker. The hands and feet look like the letter W shape but with an extra zig or zag. Cut 2 white circle felt pieces and then glue them on for cheeks. Then attach 2 googly eyes. Cut out a black felt or crafts foam triangle and tiny circle. Then glue the triangle on top of the cheeks for a nose. Glue the black circle under the cheeks. Use a black marker to draw letter 'V' shapes in the ears.
