We sleep on bed sheets every night. They are so silky soft and they lull us to sleep every night. When we wake up, they feel so good against our skin. Sometimes it is sad when our favorite sheets are starting to wear out because we feel as if we are going to miss them. Or maybe you could care less about your sheet but you feel there might be a good craft to use them for now that they are too worn to sleep with. Well we have plenty of bed sheet crafts so you can recycle / upcycle them and find a new use for them. Have fun crafting...you can find the ideas below:
Making shadow pictures is a lot of fun. All you need is an electric light (without a shade) and a white bed sheet. To throw shadow pictures on the sheet you must have your hands between the light and the screen. And, of course, you must know the positions in which to place your hands and fingers in order to make interesting and convincing pictures on the screen. In the sketches given here you will see a number of shadows of animals. Any boy or girl can make them after a little practice. Once you have learned to make these various forms you will be able to move your fingers or thumbs so that the animals will seem alive. It is a LOT of fun to also imitate the sound of each animal as it parades across the screen.
Above are the pictures to help you make show animals.
This craft is a classic one. Find an old white bed sheet (non-fitted) that your parents say is okay to use. Then put the sheet over your head so that it is even all the way around you. Then take a pen and mark where your eyes are (softly as to not hurt your eyes). Then take the sheet off and carefully draw ovals over your eyes. Then carefully cut these ovals out. Then your costume is all done. Boo!
Don't just get rid of an old bed sheet..ask your parents if you can use it to paint a huge mural (a very large painting). You can either put the bed sheet out on the grass, with bricks holding the corners down, or you can have your parents put it up on the clothesline. Then just paint to your hearts content...you don't have to worry about making mistakes, the bed sheet was going to be thrown away, so it was relatively free. Have fun being an artist for a day!
