If you are vacationing at the beach, you are probably enjoying collecting all sorts of shells. The problem is, once you find all of those shells, what do you do with them? How about making a sea turtle with your found shells. These will last a lifetime and will always look fabulous on your bookshelf. Find out how to make these beautiful sea turtles with the following step by step instructions.
Sea Shells
Mustard Seed (or other small item for black eyes)
Cement or other sturdy glue
Pipe Cleaners
Use a clean Snakehead Cowrie shell for the body. These look like the type of shells that you see in the picture above. Of course, other shells would work...find what works for you.
Cement a tiny Venetian Pearl shell for the turtle's head. This type of shell looks like the one in the picture above. Of course, other shells would work...find what works for you.
Cement on two black mustard seeds for eyes (of course you can paint eyes on too - or use small beads or othem item if you can't find mustard seeds). Cut short lengths of pipe cleaners, and bend to shape for legs and tail.
The above picture is from the perspective of the bottom of the turtle. Cement legs and bend them outwards. You can decorate further if you want...make the turtle your own creative creation.
