Home > Arts and Crafts Projects > Easter Crafts > How to Make Miniature Bunny Landscapes
This is a delightful project for any boy or girl who enjoys working with small things. A miniature match box landscape is always a cute project to work on. This mini landscape is made inside a matches box and includes 2 little bunnies and a tree. I think that this craft would be perfect for Easter time but there is no reason why you have to wait until Easter. Find out how to make it below.
Small sliding drawer matches box
Glue or paste
Miniature marshmallows
Pussy willow buds
Colored paper
Scissors
Paints & Brush
Tiny twigs
Tiny artificial flowers
Crayons
Cotton
Magazine cut-outs
(1) Remove the sliding drawer from a small matches box and give your parents the matches, as you will not need them.
(2) For the background, trim a magazine cut-out of an outdoor scene to fit inside the box, and glue it in place. You could also print a picture from the internet if it is alright with your parents.
(3) Place the figures in front of this background. You may use a midget marshmallow or a pussy willow bud for a bunny's body. Add a cut-up marshmallow or a smaller willow bud for the bunny's head, and glue in place. Cut out a pair of tiny pink paper ears and a tiny cotton ball tail and glue in place.
(4) Glue in a small twig for a tree and tiny artificial flowers in the foreground.
(5) Cut a piece of colored paper to fit the cover of the match box landscape and glue it in place.
(6) Decorate the cover with colored crayons or paint.
(7) Slip the cover over the landscape. What a pleasant surprise is in store for the lucky person who opens the drawer of the match box.
