Children have been throwing things around for longer than history, no doubt, at things and at each other. There is an element of wildness in any pitching game, so it is wise to think out a few rules beforehand to keep things running happily and safely. This is a very easily made pitching game and I hope you enjoy it.
Egg Carton
Paint or Markers
Cork or Bead or bean or Something Else Small
Egg cartons, the molded pulp type, make good floor targets, either for tossed counters or for the bombs-away style. Use crayons, markers, or paint to decroate the carton, and mark different values in the various depressions.
For pitching, use corks, beads, beans, or anything else small, as long as it isn't a marble or ball. These bounce and roll around so much that the children spend half the time finding them. Though these pitching games can be played indoors, this is really more suitable as an outdoor activity.
